Ahem. So what has this decade brought me?

:bulletred: A used car that has served me pretty well (as well surviving a few traffic mishaps)
:bulletblue: Subs of TF Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Super Link, and Galaxy Force from TV-Nihon.com
:bulletred: From TV-Nihon, I'm going through Car Robots, Kamen Rider W, Kamen Rider Den-O, Kamen Rider Faiz (AKA 555), Kamen Rider Decade, and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger
:bulletblue: Employed/unemployed/volunteer through various jobs which allowed me to...
:bulletred: ...attend BotCon 2009 * at fellow DA peeps met there*, San Diego Comic-Con 2008 and 2009, Anime Expo 2007 and 2008, Los Angeles Film Festival 2005 and 2007-2009
:bulletblue: Enjoy Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen
:bulletred: Be overseas for one of the longest times of my life (I was terribly homesick after the culture shock wore off)
:bulletblue: Find the Allspark.com, which let me attend fun sorts of things (such as the Paramount press junket on promoting ROTF's DVD/BD release)
:bulletred: Mythbusters, Good Eats, Dirty Jobs, Ghost Adventures, all three CSI series, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, Bizarre Food with Andrew Zimmern, Bizarre World with Andrew Zimmern, Iron Chef, Iron Chef America (used the food-related shows there for a thesis)
:bulletblue: Pull crazy driving stunts (like from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back within a 24-hour period)
:bulletred: Graduated from Pasadena City College and California State University Northridge
:bulletblue: Got my very own camcorder (even if it was refurbished - worth every cent earned and spent)
:bulletred: Met several industry folks that work on things I love
:bulletblue: Bought my first toy in over 15 years, and then subsequent ones
:bulletred: Experienced my first hangover :ahoy:  :drunk:
:bulletblue: Expanded my reading/viewing/gaming collection by a good deal, be it online or in real life
:bulletred: Fics, ahoy!

Any resolutions? Nah. I hardly have a time keeping them, but I am trying to improve good habits and break bad ones.

A safe and hopeful Happy New Year! :earth:

Ahem.

Wow, nearly the end of the year, eh? So, what have I been up to? In short:

:bulletred: Poking away at :iconechowing:'s fics
:bulletblue: Working at American Girl Place in Los Angeles (My LEGS and KNEES! Thank heavens for medicine patches)
:bulletgreen: Trying to catch up with the latest TF news at the Allspark and elsewhere
:bulletpurple: Keeping up with my workload at TV-Nihon
:bulletred: Poking away (read: ATTEMPTING TO) fic ideas that have been languishing in the place that is my gray matter
:bulletblue: Catching up the latest episodes of all three CSI series, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, and whatever's airing on Food Network *makes grabby hands at "Good Eats"*
:bulletgreen: Scaring myself silly on watching episodes of "Ghost Adventures", and other ghost-related videos, such as the documentary "An Unknown Encounter" via paranormaltvchannel (which covers the 1989 San Pedro haunting), at YouTube
:bulletpurple: Reading fanfics

With Hannukah having passed and onwards to Christmas, work at the American Girl Place (not "store" - if I had a dime everytime...) has certainly picked up on pace. I keep stocking the shelves and every time I come back out from storage for other products, the stuff I just filled up disappear. Certain items are selling like hotcakes, which is a good and bad thing - good on profits, bad when we have to tell customers that we're sold out and/or it's backordered. I hate having to tell a girl (or boy, when they're shopping for their female relatives) or their parents/guardians that we don't have what they want, considering this time of the year (and especially if they came from a LONG way from home). On the flipside, seeing them gush over the merchandise (a quarter whenever I hear the words "adorable" and "cute"...), seeing the lights practically shine in the kids' eyes, or getting a "thank you" after gift-wrapping what they bought does make up for it a bit.

NEW. SEASON. OCTOBER 7!!!!!

WOOO-HOOO!!! I've been going through a bit of withdrawal and am EAGERLY awaiting to see the newest episode. It actually got featured a bit on CNN's site way back because let's just say there was a VERY large bill on window repairs. :giggle:

Other than that, also looking forward to catching Food Network's "Good Eats" celebrate this Saturday, as well the various new eps of the CSI franchise.

Amazing how the years fly, doesn't it. Senior year of high school and there was a buzz going on about the campus. I had heard floating words about something happening over in New York but as I had missed the morning news, I was doubtful until getting to homeroom. My homeroom teacher was also a history teach and having a TV was necessary for those videos. Thus, we saw footage of the planes hitting the Towers on CNN as a couple of us tried to get better reception through the electronic snow.

Sometimes, I wonder what people will tell to kids in the future, 40-50 years from now. History is mostly written by the victors, as they say...

AllSpark Almanac Signing

Caught up with Jim Sorenson, Bill Forster, and Derrick J. Wyatt again, this time on Saturday at Burbank, California, on them signing the newly released "Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac"! A very nice turnout that day with the number of people showing up, as well Bill and Derrick doing some quickie sketches. :D I unfortunately held up the line a bit on getting 8 copies signed for some pals of the Allspark, but at least that was at the beginning. ^^; Plus, the book is kinda hefty, almost 2 pounds. I'm basically carrying a little over 16 pounds in my backpack - I can carry 25 lbs but they're usually rice sacks. Also picked up "The Complete Ark", basically animation lineart from both "The Ark" and "The Ark II" compendiums with several extra pages. Sure, I already have both, but I'm somewhat a book junkie when it comes to references materials like those. :3
